I have a 1989 camaro with 53000 original miles I wanted to keep this engine and try to get 350-375 hp I was wondering if it’s possible and what direction should I go. Budget is $3500-4000. It’s the tbi 305 engine

 

Bigger engine, I can't think you could squeeze near that hp out of a 305.

 

I'ld start looking for a 350 / 5.7L crate engine from GM. Might exceed your budget though.
