car just started to shut down ..,going down the road and get on the gas and shuts down,not giving any codes,will not start up rightaway,starts back up 10 minutes later.will shut down again and again when getting on the gas. changed out fuel filter and gas cap as it was building an air vacuum in the gas tank.......thanks

 

Can you hear the fuel pump humming in the tank?

 

Yes, I can hear the fuel pump. What would cause a vacuum in the tank? I thought that the fuel cap wasn't venting, so I replaced it. Thanks!!!!

 

Yea, check the pressure at the schrader valve, the fuel pump on my pickup would give enough gas for idling and putting around, but didn't do crap when I got on it.
