Default Advice on Diesel Mechanics Skills for Camaro Owners?

Hey all,

I’ve been a longtime Camaro fan and recently started working on my own vehicles. Most of my experience has been with lighter maintenance, but I’m curious about expanding into more complex work. While Camaros are typically gasoline powered, I’ve been thinking about learning broader skills that could apply to future projects, especially understanding heavy systems and diagnostics.

Can anyone share how skills from Diesel Mechanics training have helped with engine troubleshooting, durability testing, or tuning? Would that knowledge transfer to performance work on Camaros or should I stick with petrol specific paths?

Appreciate any insights!
