Default heat on 95' camaro not working need help

I got a 95' camaro 3.4L v6 for a present and it is my first car. i dont know to much about cars and even less about ac/heat. The vents still blow but the air cold. the previous owner said the ac didnt work but he didnt say the heater didnt either but he hadnt driven it in a long time. please any advice would help i do have the book just need to know where to start lookin.

start by checking the coolant level. If its low, fill it up and check for a leak

also make sure that the heater core hasnt been bypassed

change the thermostat also if the fluid level is full and theres a valve on some cars that go bad to shut the antifreeze off from the heater core

but make sure if you do change the thermostat buy an acdelco one. cause i went through 2 thermostats cause of an over heating problem put a acdelco one in an it started working.
