I have a 1968 Camaro motor in my 69 Vette!
Can you guys help me with some numbers.
My 1969 Corvette I just bought was sitting for 29 years, but in it's
short life it must have went through a lot. The owner told me it was
once hit in the front and then the back, repaired professsionaly both
times. But I thought I would tear the motor down to rebuild and replace
all the seals. Well, my nubers dont seem to make any sence.
I found these stamped on the Front pass. side of the block, under the
heads. 18N403270 and then VO3I2MO My vette is suppose to be a 350/350
4-speed. Can you guys confirm it is a 302 from Camaro?
Numbers on the heads. 3927188 (could be 86 or 87 not really sure yet)
If 302, what it is worth and how would I find owner of car? and search engines for this old of car to locate?

Hi, The head number crosses to:3927188-no number in database,3927186-1968 to 1972 302/327/350,3927187-1969 to 1970 302/350.
The Numbers stamped on the front of the block I can't help you with. The numbers cast into theblock above where it bolts to the bellhousing are the engine casting numbers which would help narrow it down a bit..mortec.com is a good reference as is american casting club(not a free site but a wealth of information) acc does have a page dedicated to camaro casting numbers.
