does anyone know approximately how much power is lost when a head gasket blows out between pistons? i figured that's where it is blown out because when i blow air into the cylinder air blows out the adjacent one next to it with force so there is definetly a leak in it.

If the cam wasnt broke in properly with break in oil or oil high in ZDDP then it will definitly wear some lobes off

When you blow between 2 cyls, it will go and bridge in the narrow area. Likely not a loss of antifreeze. Easy way to check the cam is pull the valve covers and check the valve travel amount. You can likely do this visually, use a comparator if needed. If it's just those 2 holes it will be obvious watching it. My money is on the head gasket. Had times when I had both of these issues, so just my .02.

One other thing- if the air is blown in one cyl, and you have it coming out of the other, it's the gasket. When a cam goes flat, the valves will lose lift, and remain closed longer.
