My friend owns a 2017 Chevy camaro zl1 , twin turbo. he wants to know what octane to put in when racing the 1/4 mile

 

high enough to stop detonation. the vehicle has knock sensors so have someone view the knock RETARD parameter. the lower the knock retard, the higher the pcm can advance the timing and the faster he will go.
This is all part of a custom tune that he should of had when the car was set up....Or if it has a tune from a kit, find the information from the website of the supplier of the turbo kit.

 

IIRC, the ZL-1 has a blower, not two turbos. If he hasn't modified anything, he should run whatever octane it says on the filler door or in the owner's manual.
