Security light problems 93' to 95' engine swap
I am an automotive locksmith who is trying to assist a valued customer who has done a 1993 Camaro V-8, 1995 Camaro V6 engine swap.
He says he has changed the engine, transmission, steering column, ECM under the dash, the "Brain" under the hood and the complete wiring harness.
The security light continued to stay on as I ran my check through all of the vats values. Past this point is moving out of the scope of the service I normally provide but as I said he is a valued customer.
Someone told me he could change the start chip in the ecm under the dash to one that is "non-vats" and this would solve the problem but I don't know if what he's saying is valid. If anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. This is my first post on the forum. Thank you.
