Default t-5 on vortec 6000????

ive got a guy thatll sell me a vortec 6000 complete with everything for $800. my problem is i dont want to have to buy a new transmission. if i go easy on it for the time being, is it possible to use the borg-warner t-5 out of a 91 RS on the vortec engine?

I'm pretty sure it'll bolt right up. What year is the Vortec? You'll need the wiring harness and the computer for the Vortec motor also.

I think it'll hold for awhile. It'll blow eventually. But any trans would eventually. The Vortec may not bolt to the motor mounts, but im almost 100% positive that it will bolt to the trans.

as far as the computer and harness goes...if the harness is still intact, is it possible to take the computer off any vortec motor, for instance a 4300 or 3800, and use a programmer to adapt it to the 6000
