Default VIN info

I have a 1967 Chevy Camaro. I am trying to find out some info on the car by using the VIN#. If anyone can help, the number is 124377N151631.

Welcome to the forum.

If you can get a hold of a Factory Service Manual, they usually have the VIN breakdown in the front. I believe the last six digits are the sequential number in the build.

Found this. Basically decodes to a '67 V8 coupe built in Norwood, OH

Look in your glove box. There should be a white sticker labeled "service parts identification"
There should be a series of about 2 dozen 3 digit alpha-numeric RPO (repair parts ordering)
codes. If that sticker is still intact, it should tell you more than you want to know.

We have a thread in the archives which lists all the GM RPO codes.

There may be a cowl tag on the firewall that will be more specific on other things such as color ect.
