Default Weird noise after starting up...any ideas? Thanks.

I have a 97 v6 stock camaro. I bought it used. Runs great. I have a small issue that I think I should have a concern about, when I start the car up in the morning, the rpms begin to fluctuate between 500-1500 rpms. It feels as if the throttle is being applied when I'm not physically applying it. When I first bought the car, this issue was not present. Now its becoming a lot more common. Should I be worried? Any ideas on what the problem can be(if it is one). Thanks a lot for your help.

it could be the idle air control valve or the egr or both need cleaning. take these off, clean well, put back on, see if that helps.
