Ok, Last night I was sitting in park in a 2001 Chevy Cavalier. When I shifted to drive, my daytime running lights blinked 4 times, went out, and my service light came on. There was also a loud clicking from the relay in my fuse box.

Anybody have any ideas what might cause this, before I take it to a dealer and throw my money at them......

YOU MAY WANT TO JUST GO AHEAD TO THE DEALER, IT SOUNDS LIKE A SHORTAGE TO ME.

 

does the problem repeat itself at all?

 

Did that car still work properly after that? Did your headlights still work?

 

have you check the ground ciruit? sometimes headlights won't work because of some poor connection.. or much better to bring it to a mechanic or the dealer to have it checked..
