I'll say a definite maybe. The biggest potential problems will be getting accessory brackets, motor mounts, and oil pan clearance. Also probably have to change the drive shaft.

Default Thanks!

ok thanks that helped! i really want to get a 454 in there if i can. i dont mind using a different engine but i like this one so far! Do you think it will be hard for me to put one in the 77 or will it require some work and mods? If there is a different engine that is somewhat the same and easier to put in please let me know!

It will require a lot of work and a lot of money. Have you considered getting a Chevrolet Crate small block engine? I believe they still come with a 3 year warranty.

yes the 454 will fit not much change motor mounts drive shaft .none of the sbc parts will fit .not sure might have to change radiator for cooling purpose I believe the 350 turbo tranny should work

427 Stroker would be a good choice, you get big cubic inches and tons of torque from a small block engine. Summit Racing has many choices available. Check them out. You might also consider a later model LS3
