I have a 1980 chevy caprice 2 door. Looking for an oem/aftermarket cable (tried universal, they keep breaking). I need the lower speedo cable, w/ cruise control. It is different than all auto parts have it listed. I have measured 65 inches (from the universal cable, yes it was working in the car, i know it is approximately the correct length. Anyone know where I may be able to find one?

I checked rock auto, and all parts stores, they all list 61", 80", and 83" cables, no in between. Please HELP!!!!!!! THANKS!!

I'm not 100% sure, however, I did recently replace the lower speedo cable (gearbox to cruise module) on our 1981 4-door caprice. I got the 83" cable, part# Y803 at Rockauto. It fit fine, maybe just a tiny bit too long but there's plenty of space to route the excess. In hindsight, 80" would have been perfect.

Was your cable routed differently? My old cable was routed up the firewall and underneath the coolant bottle and that's how I fit the new one.
