Default situation at hand

had kind of a situation like that, try starting at the fitting where the hose goes in *mine wont stay in park unless u go down all the gears and slam it up* which is a linkage problem i have a 88. i had to put a quart or two Every where i went, evertime i shut off the car, went inside somewhere boom a big a$$ puddle, had to refill it to make it anywhere i went, spent probably 100$ on trans fluid

My trans is good, after i got the leak fixed, it still has to be slammed into park, (it has a 4" lift kit on it) which is what messed up the linkage... there were 26"s on it, but after that leak fix, my heavy chevy glides like a hawk. But i would definatly take it and see if you can figure out exactly where its leaking, caprices(the 80's era) are notorious for the tranny lines rotting and falling apart etc. my leak looked like it was a line and like i said, it was a brass fitting that the hose goes into. which was like 10$ and just like you said yours did, it would leak all the fluid out FAST. id drive say 10 miles to the store, come back out of the store, have to put a cpl qts in just to get home because it registered as empty on the dipstick

Do you have the electronic switch on the inside? mines a 88, so i dont know if yours has that or what, but you could go to a dealearship, or do the old fashion drill n screw driver....
