Default 1995 Caprice Police 5.7 - PCV VAlve location?

Greetings all:

I have a 1995 ex-police Caprice that has started using one quart of oil every 300 miles at highway speed.

One of the things I want to check is the PCV valve - but can't seem to find it.

What looked like a PCv valce sitting in a grommet on the. valve cover turned out to be just a hollow connector to a hose between the valve
cover and the engine intake manuifold.

Does this engine have a PCV valve? And, if so, where should I look?

All help appreciated,

Joseph in Houston
