i have an 86 landau coupe with a problem. after feeling the vinyl top i could tell there was a rust issue underneath. i removed the vinyl with hopes of finding a small,patchable amount. of course though(damned the luck) i found that i had fist size rust holes in my roof and the channel above the windshield is completely rotted out. i need a replacement roof. my question though is can i buy newly fabricated roof for such a rare car or do i have to buy a whole other rare car and chop it to pieces? any help (or auto body parts sources) is appreciated.

 

I would get a solid roof from a sedan and fabricate it the best i could, it will have a fair amount of body filler in the end but atleast it will look ok. I'm not saying it's easy to do but do-able if thats all you can get!
