Newbie to the forums have a question about a 88 Caprice Classic, 305 or 307??
I bought a 88 caprice classic. I am curious as i read that they had 305's 307's and 350's in these. It also said that the 307's have a 4barrel carb (which mine does) is this incorrect info or is there a way i can tell?? Please help!!

I think an '88 Caprice will have the Oldsmobile 307, but I'm not 100% sure. They all had 4 barrel Quadrajets.
The easiest way to tell is by looking for the oil fill cap.... Is it on the valve cover, or it there a tube in the front of the engine that fits into the block? in valve cover= Chevy 305, tube in front of engine= Olds 307. The 350 chevy was a police package option, 9C1.
