buddy of mine just bought an '87 caprice classic with the 4.3 v6. the motor is bad and i have access to a tbi 350 from an 88ish suburban. was wondering if the transmission will line up or if he would have to do a tranny swap as well? thanks.

 

bolt patterns are the same. should line up just fine.

you may need to move the motor mounts though there are pre drilled hole for this if you do, just do the measurements before you have the new smallblock hanging in the air
