Want detailed list of RPOs on Caprices
I want to know thoroughly & completely the various suspension options on '77 - '90 Caprices.
I now own two (2) 1989 Caprices, both w/ F41 sport / handling suspension option.
What I want is authoritative definitions within a list for such F41 option: what is different for a F41-equipped vs. 'stock'. My guess includes shocks, springs, steering gear ratio, different sway bars [solid one in front, instead of a hollow one; and a rear anti-sway bar], diff. ratio.....
Also, I want the same for the F40 'heavy-duty' option. There is much ignorance and confusion between these 2 options. F40 is generally considered the "cop car heavy-duty suspension" (?)
Finally, what is included in Caprices designated as "9C1" ? Were these generally available to the public when new? In what model years were the "9C1" option available? I want a complete description of what made a 9C1 car.
