wierd water problem

Default wierd water problem

i popped the hood because i was hearing stuff, and those highlighted parts were wet. the hose coming from the metal thing is wet too.. i dont know much about cars i was hoping someone would tell me what that metal thing is/does and why its wet

those lines are part of your air conditioning system. they are part of the colder, condensor side of system. the temp in these lines is extremely cold. heat from the motor could cause condensation on the outside of the lines, especially the metal. qeustion is, how much moisture was there? enough that it was dripping everywhere, or enough to just look wet?

i wouldnt say dripping but definately wet. strange thing is, the guy who sold me the car said the ac was mounted but wasnt wired up or electronically connected or something

This is normal, but if the guy who sold you the cars says the airco is disconnected, then it is weird.
Also the amount of coolant medium may have an effect on the amount of water created.
