Default EBCM recall from 2012 - can I still claim?

In 2012, Captiva models from 2007-2010 were recalled for a potential fault in the electronic brake control module. I believe the issue was a potential faulty brake pressure sensor that would cause the brake pedal to become soft and less responsive.
MY 2009 Captiva was inspected for this recall and the dealer process was to flush the brakes and inspect the EBCM - they only replaced the EBCM if they deemed it necessary at the time of inspection. Mine was not replaced and the recall is recorded as complete on Holden Australia's systems.

Fast forward to 2021 and the brake pressure sensor has failed in the EBCM on my 2009 Captiva. My brake pedal is now soft and unresponsive and you have to put your foot to the floor to eventually stop the car!

Question: Is there a case for me to get Holden to fix this issue under the recall notice, given that this exact problem was subject to a recall and at the time, not fixed?

the notice details a stuck valve in the ebcm not a sensor. What code are you getting?

generally if the recall is closed for your vehicle...ie recall steps completed...they take no further action. If the recall was open...ie vehicle not inspected...they would perform the repair. You could contact the dealer as see what they say. The dealer can't do anything without gm corporate approval.
