I am experiencing a similar issue with my 2015 Captiva. I think it is a faulty fuel injector, I will let you know as soon as I find out.

If there isn't a trouble code, most mechanics and dealers won't help you, it takes too much of their time to diagnose the issue.

I have a 2014 Chevy Captiva Sport and mine was doing this also. It ended up being a faulty Camshaft Intake censor. Replaced it and no more stalling out.

Hello,
Did you ever get the stalling out resolved?

Yes, I figured it out on my own without Chevy's help. It was the High Pressure Fuel Pump, the bolts were not torqued to spec, it was leaking oil around the seal of the pump, and due to the improper torque the pump was failing and leaking fuel into the engine. I caught it just in time before it became serious.
