Unhappy 01 cav low accel high rpm please help

Hey guys new to the forum new to cavaliers!

So earlier today i was on my way home from a hike with the lady and my car started showing high rpms 3 to 4 and low acceleration not even 30 mph and then it would jolt or jump to catch up to speed the car has less than 130 thousand miles on it and the only Other issues ive had since buying it about 2 months ago are the fuses being out and a tail light socket and i need to replace the thermostat

please any input would be greatly appreciated

I believe a have a standard automatic transmission and someone else suggested it may be a torque converter failing? It died on me today while driving home it just wouldnt accelerate I had to stop it and restart it
