Default 04 AC Question

My 04 Cav AC temp is 70F through the center vent, ambient temp is 80F with high humidity. AC gauges read 93 on the Low & 90 on the High with the engine NOT running. With the engine running, AC temp dial turned to cold the gauges read 85 Low & 95 High. My thought, low on 134a. Problem is it won't take any 134a gas in the Low side (engine running, ac on). Compressor runs & "seems" ok & no unusual noises or leaks noticed. I'm hopping it's not the expansion valve because of it's location, (dash removal), anyone know of a "easy way" to change it? Any ideas or thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks
Larry

the compressor isn't creating any pressure...should be at least 150psi i would guess. so if the compressor clutch is engaging and thats all you got; i would suspect compressor.

If the system is low on refrigerant the compressor clutch would short cycle (or not turn on at all if really low)...on and off every 5 to 10 seconds. even short cycling...it should create way more than 95psi when running

Thanks, I was leaning toward the compressor getting bad. The compressor has 150k miles anyway. I ordered a new one, $190 for the kit. Let you know
