i have a 05 cavalier... one morning i went to crank the car but it wont catch, the mechanic said the fuel pump plug came out and he pushed it back in the car started i drove it and came back and parked then went back a couple hours later and it would catch. So i put some gas it in because the gas hand has jumped all over the place, after putting the gas in it, i cranked up n i cut it off and it wouldnt crank again... I had several people to look at it and i was told it was the fuel pump i replaced the fuel pump and filter and it still wont catch... please help dont want to play the guessing game

 

Why don't you just replace it this will fix your problem permanently .
