I have an 88 cavaleir 2.0 that stalls when I come to a stop. It has 178,000 and is still running pretty good. It stalls when stopping and then has a hard time starting. It eventually starts but takes awhile and i have to hold the gas down. Any idea whats wrong? The pluggs and wires are not that old on it either. The fuel filter is also not very old. ??????

 

Have you changed the tranny fluid recently? Does it feel like it stays in gear while you are stopping? Can you read the codes?
