1992 chevy cavalier 2.2L
Hi everyone I am Devon a new member.
I have a 92 Chevy Cavalier thats been running pretty good for the past 6yrs. Suddenly it starts to run real rough at idle after engine reach operating temp. When I manually opens the throttle it smooths out until I release it. The engine appears to be starving for gas or air. I repalce spark plugs, wires, fuel filter, remove and clean EGR Valve and EGR Valve injector(under upper intake manifold). After putting parts back together the problem still exists. The car runs fine on highway until I come to a stop then it idle real rough and stalls. However, I noticed that during rough idle after removing and cleaning upper intake manifold, if I manually open the throttle, idle speed increase rapidly until I put in drive or reverse then it drops and stall. I am thinking the TPS or O2 sensor might be bad, but not too sure. Does anyone have any idea what part might be bad or going bad?? Please Help!!! thanks.
