1999 2.2 in a 1997

Can a 1999 cavalier motor 2.2L be put in a 1997 cavalier without to much problems ? thanks

you should be fine. I swapped a 98 into my 97 pretty smoothly. The mounts are the same, trans fits the same. You may just have to swap some parts off your 97 onto the 98.
