Default 2000 Z24 fuel pump not priming..

bought the car three months ago, it sat for 2 years or so, i went through did an oil change replaced spark plugs with acdelco's new coil over plug boots brand new brakes front to back lines and all, now at this point 2 months ago i pulled the old abs unit out and the abs fuse and drove it to the back yard at my friends and parked it.. since, i've killed the battery and towed it to a new garage. we took the battery out charged it on a slow charger, i did the body work and my friend did abs unit install. once all back together we tried to start it for a job well done.. well i turned the key over heard the fuel pump kick in then kind of wavered in sound then go off. tried starting and nothing.. battery is good and its got enough juice the starter is working just no fuel for some reason.. sprayed starting fluid in it, it started up for a couple seconds and sounded normal, so i know its just not getting fuel.. i just don't know if its cause theirs no voltage to the pump, or i sucked up some sludge from the bottom of the tank and clogged the fuel filter or the fuel pump.. also while we were doing this we noticed that the fuse panel under the hood has a power wire that attaches to it, the power wire was loose on the metal and not making a full connection, fixed that. no fuses blown and relay is still clicking.. any ideas? i'm taking up a garage that belongs to a 67 nova drag car that hasn't seen weather in about 20 years and it rained last night lol

You need to change the fuel pump, filter and check/clean the fuel tank.
