Hi guys, so I have a 2001 cavalier 2.2 that does absolutely nothing when I turn the key. I just recently bought a new battery, that did not work. All the radio and all other electronics work. My next guess would be a starter any help or suggestions would help out a lot thank you.

 

When did this start? Is the battery the result of no crank? Could be ignition switch, or starter solenoid. I am unfamiliar with cavilalier , but possibbly the stater solenoid

 

The battery did not solve anything still does not crank. It happened after I started it one day it took longer to start up and the starter made a unusual tone and the next day it would not start did nothing when I turn the key.
