I have a 2003 cavalier that sat for 10 months. Put a battery in it and fresh gas then changed the oil. Ran it for a few days and today went to put some spark plugs in it because of a rough idle when I found the oil low and a small amount of carmel on the dip stick and under the oil cap. added a quart then drove it. after a drive around town oil came out of the dip stick spitting all over the engine. The dip stick was up and not seated when observed.
the car as all of its coolant and doesn't go over 185 temperature. I think its a stuck crank case ventilation?

 

the dipstick was in all the way originally? and yes the first thing to check would be the pcv system
