Default 95 Cavalier 2.2l - Engine Compatibility?

Hey my 95 cavalier has a fatal rod tap. Instead of getting my cam turned and new bearings and all that crap I'm just gonna swap it for a better engine. Which engines will fit a 95 cavalier? Will a 2.2 Ecotec fit the same? How would I hook up ecotec with an originally non-ecotec car?

Thanks

With cars of this era and the numerous pick and pull good engines out there,it just makes MORE sense to get one that is a exact match.

So I am not disappointed spending time on this, you do know these come out the bottom,Right??.So do you have the tools and equipment to do any engine swap at all??.Other wise what are we talking about here??.
