My daughter has a 97 Cavalier that has been losing power over the last few months. It would stall once in a blue moon at stops, but now it stalls several times a week. Any thoughts? Thanks.

 

Does it have an automatic 4 speed trans?

 

need more info,, just stalls, lack of gas, spark cuts out, ignition switch malfunction, highway lock out gear not shifting down from highway exiting, air filter old and clogged, vacuum leaks around intake. could be many things

 

Thanks. For everyone's info, it was very low on transmission fluid, causing the engine to get too hot and shut down. Hasn't done it since adding.
