Something seems to be amiss with the shifter on my wifes car. It will only go into gear in 1st, 3rd, and 5th, any of the gears that you have to pull the shifter back towards you it will not engage. Start it up push the clutch in and ease out the clutch in 1st 3rd and 5th and you can feel the clutch engage and the car will creep foward. there is no unsual noise when the clutch pedel is depressed or released. It was able to be driven home and there is no scary noises. I have the console off and when I look at the shifter as I move it through the gears I can hear it moving the shift shaft at the transaxle but only the shift arm and cable on the left side of the floor shifter are moving.
