I have a 97 Chevy cavalier. Manual trans. 191000 miles. It's a great car but I have been having a problem. Every once in a great while When accelerating I will get a slight grind. But it's a fast acceleration. I can't tell if it's when I have my wheel turned. It seams to happen then. Car runs great no other problems. No check engine light. Someone told me it could be wheel bearings. It does seam like it come from center of car. I feel it in my gas petal. But it's every once in a while. Trans fluid is a nice red color.

 

Not saying this is your problem. The description of your symptoms are to vague for a internet diagnosis.

Shouldi't syncromesh trans fluid be Amber?
