97 Cavalier Won't Stop Cranking
So my Cavalier won't stop cranking. I've changed the solenoid, the starter, the ignition switch, checked the ignition relay, checked the wiring, and beat on the starter with a wrench. None of that has worked. Anyone know what to do?
It's a '97 Cavalier RS with a 2.2 liter engine.

Sorry man, it happens when I have the battery hooked up (currently have the negative disconnected to get it to stop) and it happens with or without the key in the ignition. It used to do it sporadically and I would get it to stop and run normally by giving it a little gas. Now that doesn't work, and it has done it each time for the past 2 days, eventually starting normally. Now it won't stop at all. If I put the key in the run position it starts and runs, but the starter is still going. Let me know if you need more info.
There is, and I replaced it, and it seems to have fixed the problem. I thought we had replaced it already for a different issue, but it turns out we put the old one on.
Thanks so much for your assistance!
