Default 98 2.4 Liter Oil Leak

I havent had much time to dig into it but thought id ask for some input. I have a 98 Cavalier with the 2.4 Overhead Cams I lost all of my oil in a matter of 20 minutes when running. It has a small line of oil under it if you move it not like it is leaking from random places. The whole drivers side of the engine compartment is covered with oil. It looks to be spraying out from the top of the engine not the bottom. Any ideas as to what this could be?

Unknown,

It sounds like your oil pan gasket may be the source of this leak. (refer to key #459 in this 1998 Cavalier diagram) I have had oil leaks originate from the oil pan gasket in a few of my cars as well as some of my customer's GM vehicles so it wouldn't hurt to inspect this gasket and replace if necessary.
