Fuel pump wont prime . I have changed the pump the wiring harness the filter and the relay. the engine will turn over and run a few seconds with starter fluid. im at a loss could the new pump be bad?

 

The fuel pump could be bad. It's been known to happen. Is it an off brand pump or a good Delco or Delphi. Can you hear the pump running? If it is running then you can check the fuel filter which should be changed with the pump. Another possibility is the fuel pressure regulator if the pump is running.
