Default A/C Light/Compressor engages on defrost/feet

Hey guys,

New here, and I have a question. I just purchased a 2003 Cavalier and when I have the heat on, and turn it to window defrost, or defrost/feet setting the A/C light goes on and the compressor engages.. is this normal? Any other setting it's off. Everything else seems to work as its supposed to.

Thanks in advance, I look forward to your replies.

Kyle

That's normal. The a/c compressor is supposed to turn on when the selector is in the defrost and defrost/floor position.
