Default Can't toot my own horn!

My '05 Cavalier's horn quit working, so I checked the 15amp fuse in the dash fuse box. It was fine, but I cleaned its connectors, put it back and still no horn. Then I removed the horn itself, which is not a pleasant job, tested it and it toots fine, so no current is reaching the horn. None of the wiring shows any rodent damage or other evident problems, so now I'm stumped trying to figure out what's wrong. I'm leery of getting into the steering wheel contacts because of the airbag. Any suggestions??

don't worry about the air bag: just unplug the battery.

You could have a bad clockspring. Is there other buttons on your steering wheel? Do they work?

That was a very helpful video--thanks a lot for including it! I have no other controls on the wheel and the airbag light is NOT on. Clockspring still the most likely culprit?

I suppose it could also be the switch itself. Still inside the steering wheel.
