Default car interior getting hot

hi can anyone help me out, when i have my cavalier running the heat from the engine is pouring inside the car and you can feel the heat building up i believe its the firewall not doing its job does anyone have any ideas of anything else it could be before i start stripping out the dash board to access it

welcome to the forum
Are you sure its not the blend door for the heat/AC ?
If the door is stuck open to the heater core it will pipe in the heat even with the AC on....

^ +1 on the blend door. That happened on my Accord years ago.
