I know the Cavy is not exsactly the most remembered Chevy but it has its advantages. I have seen some sweet lookin cavys in my time but never really thought much about them till my car got reposessed and was given a cav to get me by. I like it and it is comfortable. Now I think it is time to make it different. I have seen headlight swaps and body kits and all sorts of other goodies thrown at the little chevys from the z's to the granny four doors. What is out there and where can I find it????????

It all depends one what you want to achieve, and how much money you are willing to spend. Personally, I like to "lightly" rice my cavalier, but i'd rather focus on spending mind on performance mods, such a good tires, air intake, exhaust, etc. The only "visual" thing I have right now are the clear corner lights, and the blue zenon fog light bulbs. A lot of people tend to get the Euro rear and front lights, I personally think they look like **** though. I've seen some half decent body kits, however I think the Z24 looks best without one, as it already basically has a stock, sporty body. I was looking on cardomain.com and saw a really cool hoodscoop, I was pretty suprised how well it worked with the cavalier too. There are few rims that actually both look decent and suit the car at the same time, but thats just a matter or personal taste, and looking around for the best one. The engine mods are practically limitless, you can get just about anything perfomance, spark plugs, headers, air intake, turbos, superchargers... (Funny thing is, often after spending all that money, you could had just gone and bought a new engine thats just as powerful stock if not more powerful) Do you have a coupe or a sedan? You can do many mods to both, although I think they look a lot better on the coupes. If you're just looking to impress people, you could get a nice mp3/cd deck with a dvd screen/gps built in, couple 10 inch subs perhaps? As far as mufflers go, and depending on the color of the car/body kit you may or may not put on, Magnaflow has some pretty ncie mufflers, probably the best amount of performance for your money too. One thing I just thought of that would look pretty cool, is instead of traditionally mounting the radar detector on the center/middle of the windshield, to find a more stealth place, where it blends in better... only problem with that is, the little interceptor/receiver has to have a clear range/be roughly in line with the cop car... As far as places that have these things, your local performance parts store would be the best way to go (for the one here if you're a member you get a really good discount), if not, your local garage mechanic probably has a good deal worked out with the local parts store for discounts, so just go through them perhaps. Hope this helps!

Try looking through a car magazine, or check out www.cardomain.com for ideas...

It doesnt take tons of money to make a car look good. You can sometimes do as little as a set of wheels, and a set of lowering springs...

for example
