Default cylinder 2 misfire

have a cylinder 2 misfire code coming up changed the plugs and problem is still there any ideas on the next step

Welcome to the forum. You don't say what year and model but I'll assume a late model Cavalier. The misfire means the cylinder did not contribute enough to the crankshaft output. The problem could be spark, air, fuel, compression, etc. How did the spark plugs look? How about the freeze frame data to go with the trouble code?

It is an 05 cavalier the plugs that i removed did not look that bad

Yours has an Ecotec, then? I'd take it to a shop. Misfires can ruin catalytic converters and thus you don't really have time to experiment. If you checked the prices on the exhaust manifold/catalytic converter assembly, you'd know what I mean.
