ets off light and check engine light on

girlfriend got a 96 cavalier with the ets off light and check engine light on, dont know much about these im a diesel mechanic. reading on the internet saying it could be cooolant related or a fuse? PLEASE help

I had this issue for over 2 years. For me it was some kind of emissions/oxygen leak... Either way, hockey tape over the light did the trick.

Wasn't an issue.
