Been neglected for years still runs just gotta replace heater core was thinking about rebuilding top have. What kind of ideas do guys have or how would u do it?

Took me a minute to figure out that you combined your heater core issue with rebuilding the top half of your motor. Why not just drop a good rebuild in your engine bay? Your Cav is quite old. I would consider selling it, rather then doing all that work on it.
