front brakes locking up

Default front brakes locking up

I have a 95 cavalier and recently a deer ran out in front of me and i slammed on the brakes, now when you use them the front brakes lock up, but as soon you you let off they release any ideas ?

New to me, but if it were me. I'd pop off the front tires and check for anything that doesn't look right, and maybe bleed the brakes.

do you have abs? if so do you feel the pulsation in the pedals as the sensors kick in or do you skid? or do they just grab extremely quickly? if they grab extremely quickly the rotors might be glazed and should be resurfaced and new pads put on.

Default 2004 avalance brake problems

i have a 2004 chevy 4 wheel drive avalance truck and the front brake on the drivers side hung up, i replaced the brakes and caliper and hose on that side, drove it for 5 miles and drivers side hung back up, let it cool down for 20 minutes because it was smoking, and it drove me back home, cant figure out why it keeps hanging up
