I have only one other problem (that I know of) with my 04 Cavalier and that is the heater control. No matter if I have it on heat or AC the air comes out the same place. I found the cable under the dash that was disconnected so I connected it to the arm on the control. To my surprise the heater and ac actually work worse and theres no defrost on any setting! So now I'm in the process of taking the cable back off and just setting it by pulling or pushing on the cable. Has anybody got a better idea? I would prefer to set the heat/ac with the **** but it doesn't work well. ?? Thanks

 

The problem with the cable is that it's a cable and not a wire. Automakers used to use piano wire to run the heater controls. It was a stiff wire and could be used in push-pull operations. The flexible cable they used in my car can pull but when you try to push it it bends! I guess it came from the factory that way. Thanks GM??
