Smile I am a greenhorn . . .

to the Chevy community - please bear with me. I recently purchased an '02 Cavalier, 2.2 4-cyl. base model and have a question. I added some 50/50 anti-freeze to my radiator which I believe already had water in it. I drove for about 16 miles and when I cut the car off, water came spewing from the rubber down pipe connected to the coolant reservoir (located on the passenger side of the engine bay). Then, I cut the car back on and drove back home monitoring the temp gauge which stayed between 195 - 215F the whole time. My question: Is it normal for water to gush out like that, and if so, what causes that reaction? Do I need to fix something? Please help - thanks everyone!

There are marks on that reservoir, hot and cold levels. Did you add too much?
