Default Idle

Can someone tell me what the idle rpms should be at? My idle is at 625rpm and that seems a bit low. Also can you tell me how to increase the idle? I have a 2002 2.2 w/automatic trans.

The PCM maintains the idle with the IAC valve. It'll keep it as low as possible without stalling under various loads. There's no adjustment to be made.

Okay, I just got around reading your other post about it stalling "with the heater selector switch being on." Maybe the HVAC control module is requesting the A/C compressor to be ON which turns on the compressor and the cooling fans? I'd try unplugging the electrical connector from the compressor clutch to eliminate it first.
